About Headwaters Behavioral Health
Headwaters Behavioral Health was founded with a commitment to providing accessible, high-quality mental and behavioral health care to the Three Forks community and surrounding areas.
As a locally based practice, we value strong relationships, collaboration with schools and providers, and supporting long-term well-being within our town.
Courtney Sisco, LMFT
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
Courtney Sisco earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Northridge in 2016 and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2020. Her professional background includes working as an adolescent therapist in a psychiatric hospital, providing care in short-term residential treatment centers, and supporting youth and families through collaborative school-based services. In 2021, she launched her virtual private practice, serving a diverse range of clients.
She specializes in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and emotional regulation challenges. She supports clients whose anxiety may lead to shutdown responses, self-injurious behaviors, or withdrawal from social connection. Her work encourages exploration of childhood experiences and unconscious patterns to increase self-awareness and create meaningful behavioral change.
In addition to individual therapy, she works with couples experiencing communication challenges that contribute to relationship dissatisfaction.
Her approach integrates:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Perspective-taking and insight development
A strong therapeutic relationship as the foundation for change
She focuses on balancing acceptance and change, helping clients understand their behaviors while building skills to support growth and healing. She is passionate about understanding each client’s worldview and helping them make sense of themselves so they can change what is not working.
Her goal is to help clients manage anxiety and emotional distress so they can live more fully and authentically.
